Job Description: We are seeking a Cable Installation Technician to support various client sites in the Des Moines metro area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AV systems, security installations, and cabling, including Category 6 and fiber optics. Responsibilities include minor terminations, crimping connectors, and installing door security devices. Key Responsibilities: * Install and terminate data, voice, video, and fiber optic cables * Perform multi-conductor copper and fiber optic splicing * Mount enclosures and perform minor terminations * Operate power tools, cable testing equipment, and man lifts * Maintain a clean and safe work environment * Comply with all safety protocols * Provide care and maintenance for company and customer equipment Top Skills: * Cable pulling and placement (Cat6, fiber) * Wire termination (data, voice, video, fiber) * Mechanical/construction aptitude Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in cable and fiber installation * Experience in communications or construction * Experience with AV or security system installations * Lead, foreman, or management experience is a plus Requirements: * Must have basic hand tools (tool belt, screwdrivers, wire snips, measuring tape) * Steel-toed boots required Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
