Overview:
We are seeking a highly adaptable and experienced ROI/Medical Records Float Specialist to support three critical functions within our Health Information Management department: Release of Information (ROI), Scanning, and Records Pick-Up. This hybrid role requires flexibility to work both onsite and remotely, with weekly schedules varying based on departmental needs. Key Responsibilities: *Respond to inquiries from patients, attorneys, insurance companies, and clinical staff regarding the release of Protected Health Information (PHI). *Educate requestors on procedures for obtaining medical records and follow up on delays. *Review authorizations for completeness and validity; return insufficient requests as needed. *Process urgent requests and utilize electronic applications for authorization management. *Operate within EPIC's ROI application to access, edit, and release PHI. *Print, email, fax, or upload PHI to Patient Gateway and document all releases. *Ensure legal compliance verifying patient identity and authorization validity. *Coordinate release of Imaging CDs with reports when necessary. *Meet productivity standards and report daily statistics to management. *Support the scanning department with daily document digitization tasks. *Ensure accuracy and completeness of scanned records. *Perform physical medical record pick-up. *Maintain organized and timely transport of records between departments. Qualifications: *Minimum 3+ years of Release of Information experience. *Strong understanding of the full ROI cycle. *EPIC experience is highly preferred. *Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments. *Comfortable with both remote and onsite work schedules. Details: *Pay: $23 - $25/hr. *Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered *Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5pm *Must be open to both onsite and remote work. There will be weeks that will be all onsite and weeks where it's all remote. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
