Job Description

Job Summary:

Under moderate supervision, responsible for the development and delivery of technical training programs designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of customers and employees in product usage and functionality. This role operates with a great degree of autonomy and is focused on creating an impactful learning experience by refining training content, methodologies, and assessments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and delivery of technical training courses, ensuring the courses meet the specific needs of customers and employees while aligning with organizational goals
  • Work closely with senior trainers and subject matter experts to gather detailed specifications and develop content for training programs that reflect best practices and current industry standards
  • Design and prepare lesson plans and training materials based on engineering documentation, software guides, and field service reports, integrating feedback and emerging technologies into the curriculum
  • Collect and analyze feedback from participants to evaluate the effectiveness of training materials and programs, implementing improvements based on findings
  • Generate status updates and reports for management regarding training progress, participant outcomes, and suggestions for curriculum enhancements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to engage and motivate learners through effective presentation and teaching skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and products quickly and effectively
  • Flexibility to adapt training content to meet the diverse needs of participants.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Ability to develop training materials and lesson plans based on technical documentation
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness and implement improvements
  • Familiarity with new technologies and industry standards relevant to the training content

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):

  • Bachelor's Degree; or Associate's Degree with 4 years of related experience
  • 2 years of relevant industry experience as a proven Technical Trainer with a strong understanding of TEL equipment and product functionality

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds may be required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
