Job Mission

The Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the technology infrastructure across NB Development Group LLC properties, with a primary focus on The TRACK at New Balance. Additional support is required at Warrior Ice Arena, NB Fitness Club. This role ensures seamless technology operations for staff, athletes, visitors, and external clients, blending advanced technical expertise with hands-on operational support.

The Technology Manager will manage cybersecure facility networks, video broadcasting systems, desktop support, VOIP services, LED videowalls, digital signage, lighting control, and in-house audio systems. They will also support event staff with training, troubleshooting, and technical assistance, maintaining a high standard of professionalism in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

This position reports directly to the General Manager and requires a flexible schedule to support events, including availability across weekends and holidays, without exceeding standard working hours.

Key Responsibilities Technology Systems Management
  • Maintain and optimize facility LAN, internet services, cybersecurity tools, and AV systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration and performance of all technology components.
Operational Support
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for outages and technical issues.
  • Collaborate with event staff and external organizers to meet technology needs.
  • Assign network access and assist with physical network cabling.
  • Support building conversions and operational transitions as part of the TRACK team.
Vendor & Service Management
  • Manage VOIP systems and service license agreements.
  • Serve as liaison to third-party service providers and vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service quality.
Asset & Budget Planning
  • Maintain inventory of technology assets and plan for lifecycle replacements.
  • Assist in budgeting for renewals, service contracts, and capital expenditures.
Staff & Client Support
  • Provide basic desktop support and training for staff.
  • Ensure a high-quality experience for athletes, visitors, and clients during events.
Additional Duties
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the technology industry.
  • Hands-on experience with building technologies relevant to this role.
  • Certifications in IT network design and/or system administration preferred.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience in live event environments and flexible scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50-100 lbs.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
