Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Maintenance Clerk to join our Brookneal OSB facility in Gladys, VA.

The Maintenance Clerk is responsible for supporting the maintenance department by managing documentation, scheduling maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all maintenance records are accurately maintained. The role involves coordinating with maintenance staff and other departments to ensure that maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of reliability concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to drive continuous improvement.

This is a DAY SHIFT position with a Monday - Friday work schedule. Expected normal schedule for the position is: 6:45am - 3:30pm EST. However, must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.

What You Will Do

  • Follow the Work Process
  • Collect returned work orders and enter data
  • Close out completed work orders, resolve parts and labor discrepancies as they are found
  • Return work orders back to Area Supervisors for follow-up work orders and any other changes
  • Generate and distribute daily attainment report to compare scheduled and returned/completed work orders
  • Schedule executable work orders in coordination with maintenance and operations leadership and the sites Modular Maintenance Calendar
  • Print and distribute scheduled work orders for maintenance, operations,. Ensure job plans and all pertinent information is included with the work orders
  • Scan any attached completed precision maintenance forms to work orders
  • Generate and distribute weekly maintenance forecast
  • Generate and distribute weekly work order backlog and metrics
  • Assign estimated hours to individual craftsman for each work order to be completed
  • Align available resources to maximize efficient execution of scheduled tasks
  • Generate and distribute daily Gantt chart. This includes identifying constraints based on the availability of support equipment; welders, torches, lift equipment, etc.
  • Enter mobile equipment run hours into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and distribute attainment report for rolling stock inspections
  • Participate in weekly Area Management meetings to bring up work process concerns

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Data Entry Experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Products Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Two years' or more of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Experience with operation storeroom (MRO) techniques
