About the role

Assistant Subcontract Manager is responsible for initiating and maintaining all Subcontracts with Subcontractors providing services to the Military Housing properties, including but not limited to, drafting Solicitations, Solicitation Processing, Proposal Review, Subcontractor Selection, Compliance and Execution. The Assistant Subcontract Manager will liaise with site management on their requirements for services at the properties. The Assistant Subcontract Manager is responsible for ensuring the contract process is following the policies in the Policy Center. This is a remote position.

What you'll be doing



  • Identify existing Subcontractors for the portfolio
  • Develop Subcontractor services library
  • Negotiate terms and prices with Subcontractors
  • Communicate with operational teams to finalized budget requirements
  • Manage the compliance of Subcontractor Insurance Program compliance
  • Manage the Subcontract execution process for all services.
  • Manage the Subcontracts through full life-cycle.


  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of Subcontract Management procedure, policy, and process.


Who we're looking for



  • Associate degree experience with business / operational / contract management and/or financial controls preferred
  • 5 years of working experience


  • Must be able to learn and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Must have an high working knowledge and applicability of subcontracting and/or procurement practices, to include but not limited conducting price analysis, being a subject matter expert on subcontracts, conducting due diligence, etc.
  • Planning/organizing - Ability to organize work, set priorities and make productive use of time.
  • Adaptability - Ability to accept changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Integrity - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Communication and Contact - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
  • Relationships with Others- Ability to work effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company. The employee exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works, to maintain constructive working relationships.


  • Technology- Must possess a strong knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft products. Must possess the ability to learn new software systems as necessary

Pay Rate: $80,000 yr. - $105,000 yr.*

*This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
