Summary: The Physician Assistant (PA) provides direct medical care to law enforcement trainees and staff at FLETC training sites. Working under the supervision of a licensed physician, the PA supports the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and federal occupational health standards. There will be one Physician Assistant assigned to each FLETC site: Artesia, Charleston, and Glynco. Responsibilities
 
 
 Essential Job Functions: 
 Provide medical evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for trainees and staffPrescribe medications Advise students that prescriptions that must be filled off-site at their own expenseEnsure medications are stocked at all times with appropriate reorder pointsEducate patients on procedures for work-related injuries and illnesses, including:
  
   Completion of the TAIRS electronic questionnaireCompletion of the Health Unit's portion of TAIRS within 24 hours of treatmentGuidance on Workers' Compensation procedures and eComp formsRefer patients to private physicians when injuries require extended recovery or OWCP coverageMaintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and FLETC standardsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals and contract staff to ensure continuity of care Qualifications
 
 
 Necessary Skills and Knowledge: 
 Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and documentation skillsFamiliarity with federal occupational health procedures and systems (e.g., TAIRS, eComp)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced training environment Minimum Qualifications: 
 Master's degree from an accredited PA programHave a valid, unencumbered medical license in the state for which they are hiredMinimum one (1) year healthcare field experience, including urgent care, within the last three (3) years.Shall be required to have a valid DEA number and professional liability with tail insurance.Must have a Public Trust clearance Pay and BenefitsAt Goldbelt, we value and reward our team's dedication and hard work.
