 Position Summary: 
 | 
 A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for daily cleaning routines of private and public areas such as offices, laboratories, cafeterias, conference rooms, restrooms, dormitories, corridors, stairs, water fountains, elevators, doors, and walls, while ensuring a safe and risk-preventive environment. Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

 Position Responsibilities:

 Restrooms must be cleaned, monitored, and replenished on a daily basis, which includes disinfecting all basins, urinals, and toilet bowls, and sweeping and mopping floorsReplenish all dispensers as needed while reporting any damaged or malfunctioning units to a manager or supervisorRemove trash and recycle as neededPeriodic cleaning, such as vacuuming, mopping, and waxing/buffing floorsDusting office furniture, vents, corridors, and staircasesSnow removal (by use of shovels and power equipment)Setting up tables and chairs for functionsMoving furniture as requiredOperate a motor vehicle to transport garbage as neededPerform other work-related duties as assigned

 Experience & Educational Background:

 High School diploma1 year of housekeeping experience is requiredValid state-issued driver's license preferred

 Skills & Competencies:

 Must be able to work the majority of the day, walking, twisting, bending, pushing, and kneeling while workingMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsKnowledge of various cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and equipmentMust have knowledge of floor and carpet care and equipment such as: refinishing, scrubbing, hi-speed burnishing, polishing, shampooing, and extractionThe ability to operate heavy machinery and/or equipment such as a Bobcat, forklift, snow blowers, plows, and to drive the University's vehiclesRespirator Fit Testing may be required
