What you will do

As a Senior Sales Engineer for Industrial Refrigeration, you will join the Regional York Process Solutions (YPS) sales team to manage sales inquiries from Southeast Asia (SEA) customers, providing front-end technical, commercial, and administrative support with assistance from the team in Singapore. Your primary focus will be on expanding our business in the SEA market.

How You Will Do It

  • Provide distinctive sales strategies and support, including but not limited to process systems designs and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Perform preliminary design of refrigeration systems, compile accurate project costing, liaise with vendors for quotations, and prepare project proposals that meet client requirements.
  • Develop YPS business in alignment with company objectives for sustainability, quality earnings, and continual growth.
  • Execute business initiatives to ensure total customer satisfaction and achieve desired business results.
  • Support YPS business in the assigned region with a focus on sustainability, quality earnings, and continual growth.
  • Ensure the success of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Leadership Review Plan (LRP) objectives within the YPS department.
  • Participate in marketing and promotional activities, including seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and other events that enhance business performance.
  • Actively maintain existing customer base and develop new customer base to ensure continuous business growth.
  • Monitor competitor activities, products, pricing, performance, and promotional programs, and develop strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Ensure all business operations and conduct conform to Johnson Controls policies.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to achieve overall company objectives and performance targets.
  • Support the region in charge in the Asia Pacific organization by initiating best practice sharing and cross-learning.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to enable the company to be active and leading, ensure speedy response times, maintain high profitability, and achieve excellent payment collection positions at all times.
  • Maintain high morale and team spirit in the office environment.
  • Observe, promote, and practice Johnson Controls culture and leadership qualities.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your superior.

What We Look For

Required

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Process).
  • 3 years or more experience in refrigeration, skidded chillers, or chillers
  • 3 years or more experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, HVAC/Refrigeration, or similar industry.
  • Outside sales experience
  • Petrochemical and Oil & Gas background is an advantage.
  • Understanding of contract/project/credit management, pricing, quotations, business and technical proposals, vendor negotiations, and budgeting.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Must be a proactive team player.
  • Broad-based engineering background with process refrigeration knowledge.
  • Good communication skills in English.
