 Job Purpose and Overview Ensure that the plant equipment is always operational and in safe working conditions, to prevent production downtime. Coordinate these efforts with both inside maintenance and outside contractors. This position is also responsible for the lab and office equipment and for the building structure, parking lots and outside grounds.  What will you do as a Maintenance Supervisorat Dawn Foods? 
 
  
 Direct, coordinate, and facilitate activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment, to include the maintenance of buildings, grounds and electricalManage pro-active maintenance to include all equipment and machinery in the plantKeep equipment and machinery in safe working conditionsWork safely and maintain a safe work environment following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practicesDevelop and implement preventative maintenance programsWork with the workforce on continuous improvement to plant equipment and practices in cost, quality, service, and safetyIdentify and execute opportunities to improve plant equipmentFacilitate a safe work environment through auditing and inspecting areas for safety hazards and observing team member safe work habitsCorrect all OSHA violations and potential hazards in a timely mannerManage the training, discipline, and development of the maintenance staffManage maintenance and repair spending within budget levels, to include capital projectsExposure to and experience with GMP, British Retail Consortium Global Standards (BRCGS) for Food Safety and American Institute of Baking (AIB) standardsUnderstand Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) programs, OSHA standards and plant safety programsOther duties as assigned
 
 
 What Does It Take to be an Maintenance Supervisor at Dawn Foods? Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job. 
 
  
 Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or related discipline with 1 year of equivalent experience OR in lieu of degree, a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience, requiredMust have extensive experience and familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must be able to troubleshoot these systems and change components as required to repair inoperative equipment and return them to serviceable condition.PLC and HVAC knowledge is highly desiredMIG, Stick, TIG and Oxy Acetylene welding ability is highly desired. Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance such as lubricating, inspecting, and evaluating equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.Experience within a manufacturing facility requiredManufacturing food experience preferredPrior leadership experience is preferredDemonstrated knowledge of computers requiredExperience with Word and Excel required Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead a teamGood written and verbal communication skills requiredAttention to detail and accuracyMust have the ability to resolve issues in a timely, organized and cost-efficient mannerProactive, self-directed independent worker, with self confidence
