Principal Engineer - Corporate Systems Technology

What you'll do:

• System Development: Design, code, and test enhancements to the QRM and other Corporate Systems Technology (CST) to meet the bank's treasury risk management requirements.

  Customization: Customize software to align with the bank's risk policies, market conditions, and regulatory guidelines.

  System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate QRM with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate risk assessments.

  Data Management: Oversee the collection, validation, and integration of relevant financial data into the CST applications.

  Risk Analytics: Develop and maintain risk analytics models, stress testing scenarios, and simulations to assess and manage the bank's treasury risks effectively.

  Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure application configurations and models comply with evolving financial regulations.

  Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and address technical issues, system bugs, and performance bottlenecks in applications promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experience.

  User Support and Training: Provide user support, conduct training sessions, and develop user-friendly guides to empower employees in effectively utilizing CST applications.

  Optimization Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.

  Collaboration: Work closely with risk management, finance, and other business teams to align technology solutions with business objectives and enhance overall treasury management capabilities.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of development and/or implementation experience using modern technologies
• 4+ years' development experience implementing COTS solutions for banks or other large institutions
• 2+ Years' experience acting as a technical lead, scrum master, or similar responsibility
• 2+ years creating controls and documentation including technical specifications, estimation documents, and architectural documents
• Strong background in financial modeling, risk management, and programming languages.
• Deep understanding of treasury management practices and regulations is crucial.
• Familiarity with IT security, data privacy, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Working knowledge of design tools such as Visio and Lucid chart

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure DevOps. Jira, ServiceNow, DevOps tools
• Knowledge of Cloud based systems and integration with SaaS applications.
• Working knowledge of the QRM platform and its functional capabilities
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and large volume data handling between systems
• Knowledge of mathematical calculations to summarize and aggregate large volumes of data
• Working knowledge of BI / Reporting Tools (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy)
• Banking, financial services or other highly regulated industry experience
