THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a talented and driven Data Scientist to join our innovative Operations team. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive insights and support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance AMD's product offerings and operational efficiencies through data-driven solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights that drive AMD's business and operations strategies.
• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to optimize product performance and customer experience.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate models and hypotheses, ensuring robust and reliable outcomes.
• Communicate complex data findings to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and presentations.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data science AI & ML learning to continuously improve AMD's capabilities.
• Work with IT and engineering teams to deploy models into production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the semiconductor industry, with specific focus on engineering operations
• Strong programming skills in Python, or similar languages, with a focus on data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or AG Charts
• Proficiency in Mongo, SQL and experience with database management systems.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry or a related technology field.

• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a preference for AMD's cloud solutions.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
