As the Senior Director, Global Compensation & Benefits at PCI Pharma Services, you will serve as a key leader and operational driver of a global total rewards framework spanning multiple countries and workforce types. You will lead the design, oversight, and implementation of compensation, benefits, and leave programs that support compliance, competitiveness, and alignment with PCI's business goals in a regulated and growing life sciences environment.

This role plays a central part in executing enterprise-wide HR strategies and providing operational leadership for total rewards. You will work closely with executive leadership to ensure compensation and benefits programs support organizational priorities, talent planning, and workforce development initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in both compensation and benefits, strong understanding of global regulatory requirements, and the leadership skills to manage and develop HR professionals while partnering with stakeholders across all business segments and corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

Global Compensation Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the global compensation philosophy, job architecture, and pay structures, ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee job evaluations, market benchmarking, classification frameworks, and geographic differentials using data tools and survey insights.
  • Direct annual compensation planning cycles, including merit increases, short-term incentives, promotions, and off-cycle adjustments.
  • Optimize the Workday Advanced Compensation module to enable seamless planning and delivery across business units.
  • Advise senior leadership on pay transparency, wage compliance, pay equity, and total compensation strategy aligned with global compliance frameworks (e.g., US Pay Equity, UK Gender Pay Gap, EU Pay Transparency Directive).
  • Use compensation analytics, predictive modeling, and forecasting to inform strategic workforce decisions.
  • Lead compensation survey submissions and monitor evolving global compensation legislation to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Develop and deliver communication strategies and manager training to promote understanding and transparency of compensation programs.

Global Benefits Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and continuously improve global benefits programs that balance regional compliance, employee satisfaction, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide strategic consultation to executive leadership and HRBPs on benefits design, funding models, and workforce alignment.
  • Build governance frameworks and documentation standards that support consistency, equity, and transparent delivery of benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with global and local benefits-related regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, Pensions Acts, health and welfare mandates).
  • Lead vendor management, including RFPs, contract negotiation, and benchmarking, working with brokers and internal stakeholders to optimize plan value.
  • Champion a data- and employee-centric approach by evaluating plan ROI, employee feedback, and market trends to drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop and implement clear communications to educate employees about benefits, promote wellness initiatives, and support open enrollment and ongoing engagement.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and HR to ensure alignment between benefit strategy, fiscal responsibility, and business needs.
  • Support benefits integration activities during M&A events, including harmonization of plans and change management.

Global Leave & Accommodations Management

  • Oversee all global leave of absence and accommodations programs, including PTO, parental leave, military leave, disability, and statutory leaves, ensuring compliance with applicable laws (e.g., ADA, FMLA, GDPR, EU Directives).
  • Develop scalable and compliant processes for case management, reporting, and stakeholder training related to leaves and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Occupational Health & Safety, HRBPs, and site leadership to align leave programs with operational needs and promote consistent understanding across global teams.
  • Provide guidance and education to managers and employees to ensure clarity and equitable application of policies.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory updates, adapting programs proactively to maintain compliance and improve employee experience.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and develop a global team of compensation and benefits professionals, fostering collaboration, cross-training, and career development.
  • Standardize compensation and benefits processes across employee lifecycle events-including hires, transfers, promotions, and location changes-to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement system enhancements and automation opportunities to improve global efficiency, data integrity, and reporting for both compensation and benefits.
  • Track key compensation and benefits metrics and deliver reporting insights to HR and executive leadership.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting and audits related to compensation, benefits, and leave programs across all operating countries.
  • Lead change management efforts and stakeholder communication related to total rewards policy updates, redesigns, and new system rollouts.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor during annual planning and transformation initiatives, ensuring total rewards are embedded into broader organizational and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead compensation, benefits, and leave integration during M&A activity, including role alignment, harmonization, retention planning, and compliance adherence.

Required

  • 12 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 5 years in a global leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing large-scale global compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation.
  • Experience leading global benefits governance and compliance across multiple countries, including health, retirement, wellness, and time-off programs.
  • Deep knowledge of job evaluation, market pricing, cost modeling, and strategic compensation design.
  • Experience managing Workday Advanced Compensation and Benefits or similar enterprise-level HRIS systems.
  • Strong command of international regulatory frameworks (ERISA, ACA, FLSA, GDPR, pay transparency mandates, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and BI tools to translate data into insights.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional leaders and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and support a globally diverse employee population.
  • Familiarity with international compensation trends and benefits programs across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP, GRP, GPHR, CEBS.
  • Experience in M&A integration, IPO-preparedness, or international workforce consolidation.

Work Model & Travel Requirements

  • Remote/hybrid depending on location.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10-20%) to support global teams and site operations
