Title:Admin Specialist III

Shift: 9 Hr. Day-Off 1st Fri.

POSITION CONCEPT:

This position provides support to the By-products and Fuels Operations, and is responsible for reporting, tracking and month end reconciliation of Generation Fuels and By-Products inventories. The Senior Administrative Specialist works independently with minimal supervision, and performs diversified complex duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for communication with internal/external customers regarding operational issues and activities.
  • Process limestone receipts and issues within the Materials Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Process fuel surcharge purchase orders.
  • Track coal blending for inventory.
  • Generate fuel and oil consumption reports and limestone consumption reports.
  • Prepare report for bi-annual coal field aerial volume analysis.
  • Perform barge inventory "sequence break" reconciliation.
  • Monitor and report coal inventory tracking from barge to yard and to Polk Station.
  • Process monthly accounting closeout for various fuels, limestone, slag, fly ash, bottom ash and coal inventories.



EDUCATION: Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:Two year degree from an accredited college.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum of 4 years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position is required. Related experience consists of: Administrative experience within the utility or heavy industrial industry.

Preferred: Experience in a union environment.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Required: Must be able to make decisions concerning prioritizing work and handling administrative questions and problems. Must demonstrate ability to handle most complex administrative assignments independently. Must be able to extrapolate information from various sources for reports based on general instruction. Must be able to assemble necessary background material for meetings with general instruction. Must have strong analytical ability to handle multiple complex administrative functions independently. Must be able to decide on and carry out appropriate course of action in office situations with minimum amount of guidance.
