Job Summary Summary: The Clinical Scheduler is responsible for patient scheduling functions and performs activities which ensure the effective operations of outpatient dietitians, in addition to assisting the scheduling lead with higher-level duties as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performing patient scheduling functions for referrals into outpatient adult and pediatric clinics; to include initial referrals through EPIC and other sources. Scheduling for follow-up visits directly sent from outpatient dietitians. Higher-level work may include assistance with submission of paperwork for outpatient tube feeding requests, clinic closures, responding to questions regarding coverage and financial obligations for visits. Ensuring effective operations of the clinic while enhancing the revenue cycle. Maintaining a positive and professional relationship with patients and healthcare providers. Utilizing the automated scheduling system to efficiently manage appointments. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care processes. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for departmental operations. Performs other duties as assigned. The Clinical Scheduler must have a high school degree or equivalent and one year of work experience. No specific licensure, certifications, or registrations are required.
