Research Analyst

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Research Analyst in Support of SOF AT&L DIR-AS. SOF AT&L's Acquisition Security Directorate studies commercial markets to identify the pooling of risks and/or emerging opportunities relevant to Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics equities to help develop strategies to mitigate them.

This will be a full time position located at MacDill AFB, FL

This position is contingent upon contract modification

Provide relevant and timely research that identifies potential intersections across commercial and military interests to illuminate sensitivities, & risk trajectory within the existing and planned market segments to communicate what the commercial focus of the market is today and into the future as it relates to vendor risk to SOF AT&L HQ USSOCOM.
• Conduct sector, industry, and company-level primary research leveraging business intelligence tools to uncover and evaluate industry trends
• Assist in development and solely author research reports
• Leverage clear analytic judgment to deliberately interact with USG stakeholders, corporate entities, investors, and industry associations to generate reports and USSOCOM insights
• Develop and maintain relationships with personnel and management supporting commercial markets
• Keep abreast of industry-related news flow. Analyze implications of news/industry developments to portfolio companies and USG stakeholders
• Preliminary assessments are then leveraged by the Analyst to develop a strategic engagement hypothesis for USSOCOM and stakeholders to promote, project, or protect SOF equities

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM or Business discipline.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience to include:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Research, Business Consulting, Banking, Capital Markets, and/or Finance sectors
• Experience writing in a professional capacity, e.g., crafting research notes/correspondence; presentation and/or development of industry reports
• Interest in and ability to leverage all available resources to create and/or differentiated content for writing research reports (company-specific or industry)
• Experience working with tight deadlines and under pressure
