Ameresco currently seeks a qualifiedSenior Controls Technicianto support our growing control responsibilities on Operation and Maintenance sites in the Columbia, Maryland area.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and troubleshoot DDC systems, both on-site and via phone support of existing control systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance repairs and replacements, including but not limited to facility DDC systems, VFDs, and electrical control systems used in automation equipment and systems.

  • Provide site operator training on local DDC systems.

  • Interface with owners and owner's representatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety, industry, trade, and federal/local jurisdictional standards, practices, and codes.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Trade school or vocational high school degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years applicable DDC experience required.

  • Ability to review confidential U.S. security information.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in BACnet, LonWorks, and Modbus protocols.

  • Proven experience working with SCADA.

  • Experience and/or certifications in Distech, Tridium, JCI, Honeywell, or Automated Logic controls preferred.

  • Knowledge of servers, network equipment, integrating third-party devices/software, and computers with MS Office.

  • Knowledge of the construction contracting industry with specific emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields and specific experience in field service.

  • Knowledge of operating and servicing entire building and support systems including HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, DDC, and building safety equipment.

  • Ability to observe and comply with all standard safety codes and practices, and to perform work in accordance with recognized trade and Ameresco standards.

  • Capable of reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and operational manuals associated with their work.

  • Quality-focused and customer service oriented.

  • Valid driver's license in good standing, issued by the state of residence.
