About the Opportunity:

The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This role will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and support the operations group in the shop.

Location: Whitesboro, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilities equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Lead a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry projects throughout the facility
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with all safety regulations
  • Be available for after hours and emergency situations as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $23.00 - No Maximum. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
