Description The Sr. Financial Analyst - Protective/TrueFinish is a key financial role for the US Commercial team partnering with our Protective and TrueFinish businesses. The role will be a strategic partner with the Protective and TrueFinish leadership teams helping shape and influence key financial decisions. This role will report directly to Charlie Yang, Director, Finance - US Commercial. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for financial reporting including analysis, interpretation and communication of monthly financial results for the Protective and TrueFinish teams. Work with the commercial team to lead the monthly forecasting and annual budget for the Protective and TrueFinish businesses. Monthly review and tracking of PPG Agreements items PPC heavy duty items purchased PPG tracking of distribution items sold PPC HD items sold to distributors Monthly review of PPC/PPG shared customers Work with pricing team to analyze negative margin quotes and continued review where we can get margin improvement Responsible for Protective and TrueFinish key performance indicator (KPI) monthly tracking Review claw back opportunities from PPG where we have sold heavy duty products at a loss Monthly review of customer sales and margin performance trend Work with cross-functional teams to manage job quotes when more aggressive cost is needed to support high volume projects Provide ad hoc analysis including but not limited to customer profitability, margin analysis, contract/deal analysis and cost reduction Reporting monthly on service fee process with PPG / ensuring credit/rebate from PPG is calculated and received / applied appropriately Third party vendor PMC sales (outside buys) SIP Reporting (Manufacture's Reps & Direct Team) Manage and coordinate the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate results Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, including pricing, customer service, marketing, credit and supply chain Requirements: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a finance related field and three years of relevant experience. Experience with protective coatings is preferred. Functional and Technical Skills: Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to provide detailed information to management in a summarized and succinct manner. Must have ability to analyze and interpret financial data and determine appropriate course of action. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to react quickly to change. Must have supervisory experience. Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase Reporting/Hyperion Planning preferred Knowledge of SAP preferred Success Factors: Prime Success Factors (focus on results, drive change, promote teamwork, build trust & respect, understand market & customer perspective) plus the following: Understand the market and customer perspective Driven to achieve better-than-expected sales results.
