Overview

We are seeking an AI&T Cross Product Team Lead to oversee the end-to-end integration and test activities for complex defense systems. This role is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams through system build, integration, and verification phases, ensuring all hardware and software components meet design intent, performance requirements, and military standards.

The AI&T Lead will serve as the primary technical and schedule owner for integration and test, interfacing directly with program management, engineering leadership, and government customers.

Key Responsibilities



  • Own the AI&T strategy from early planning through final system acceptance, ensuring compliance with program requirements and DoD standards.
  • Lead and coordinate all integration and test activities, including hardware/software integration, functional testing, environmental testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Oversee the development, review, and approval of test plans, test procedures, and test readiness review (TRR) packages.
  • Manage Integration Readiness Reviews (IRRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and post-test data reviews.
  • Ensure configuration control of test articles, fixtures, and software during all test phases.
  • Direct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for integration and test anomalies.
  • Lead technical risk management related to integration and verification activities.
  • Provide technical status to program management and customer stakeholders, including formal briefings at program reviews.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and test technicians on AI&T processes, tools, and best practices.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in systems, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in assembly, integration, and test of aerospace or defense systems, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of system engineering processes, requirements verification, and test methodologies.
  • Proven experience with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and related military and environmental test standards.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in engineering.
  • Experience managing integration of multi-domain systems (RF, EO/IR, propulsion, comms, etc.).
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital thread integration for test.
  • Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS) and test data management tools.
  • Prior experience leading integration activities at a System Integration Lab (SIL) or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) environment.
  • PMP or similar program management certification.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Salary Range: $155,000 - $225,000
