Setting: 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (schedule is flexible), with the expectation to be onsite sporadically for off-hours partial shifts to provide supervision and leadership for all staff.
Status: Full-time/Exempt/Management

Job Description Summary:
Engage in thought partnership with Interim Housing leadership, Deputy Chief, CPO, and other stakeholders to identify and implement system improvement opportunities for Interim Housing-both site-specific and department-wide-at The People Concern, across administrative and operational functions.
Lead project management efforts related to site demobilization and funder transitions, as needed.
Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as site leadership at various Interim Housing locations in Santa Monica, the LAX area, and West Adams, overseeing daily operations when assigned. Responsibilities during such assignments include:
- Oversee, collaborate on, and track internal audit preparation.
- Ensure implementation of agency initiatives and alignment of project work with broader agency and departmental strategic goals.
- Manage staff teams with diverse roles, responsibilities, backgrounds, and levels of expertise.
- Provide crisis intervention for clients when necessary and follow up on client grievance submissions.
- Ensure the physical site is well-maintained and safe.
- Oversee daily shelter operations and develop/implement policies, procedures, and systems to maintain high-quality services and achieve desired outcomes.
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times, in accordance with agency, state, and HIPAA regulations.
- Cultivate a healthy, supportive team environment that promotes staff well-being and professional growth.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility for the site and lead by example.
- Build effective, trusting relationships with clients using a client-centered approach, including motivational interviewing, and coach staff to do the same.
- Champion harm reduction and trauma-informed care.
- Provide on-call coverage for emergencies, as needed.
- Facilitate and attend weekly individual and team meetings.
- Conduct and sign off on performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with management, peers, and clients.
- Collaborate with other programs to enhance support and services for clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Description Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a diverse team of case managers, support specialists, and managers.
- Demonstrated understanding of challenges faced by the population served and proficiency in non-violent crisis intervention.
- Experience in interim housing operations and administrative management strongly required.
- Detail-oriented with strong time management, critical thinking, systems thinking, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, team-building, and computer skills.
- Ability to be on-call.
- Skilled in data collection and electronic databases; HMIS experience strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills to foster collaboration.
- Ability to lead diverse teams including case managers, attendants, and managers.
Job Description Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HMIS databases and the Coordinated Entry System strongly preferred.
Job Description Work Environment:
- Combination of field and office environment
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
- On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
- Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the day
