HVAC-R Technician - Journeyman / Iron Range

Our HVAC-R Service Technicians provide skilled services relating to repair, installation, and commissioning for all new and existing HVAC-R systems. Perform site maintenance tasks, as well as annual site inspections at all customers Commercial and Industrial facilities. Ensure strong communication both internal and external to the department.

As a HVAC-R Service Technician you will:



  • Join a team of Service professionals
  • Be provided information, tools and support necessary for success
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC-R systems for both commercial and industrial customers
  • Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical and electrical components of systems.
  • Interpret work orders and perform work requested with limited direction. Enter and close work orders via the Service software platform.
  • Operate a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
  • Requisition of repair parts and equipment.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedure
  • Always adhere to all safety and vehicle related policies, and comply with Company policy and standards
  • Represent the company on customer locations/sites for service work in the regional area.
  • Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assigned.


Our Qualifications:



  • Completion of one or two-year HVAC technical degree program.
  • Associated HVAC experience for a Journeyman.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC-R equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, and required standards applicable to discipline.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively represent the company in an ethical and professional manner and consistent with our values and mission.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts; weekends, holidays and emergency on-call as needed.
  • Valid State Driver's license, and able to travel to customer locations.
  • Ability to learn and use a service software platform.
  • Must join local union #589


Certification, License, Registration:



  • CFC/EPA Universal Certification


Wage and Benefits:



  • Wages and other benefits are paid in accordance with the Local #589 Collective Bargaining Agreement for a Journeyman
