Transportation Design Group Manager - Florida At Benesch, we design the infrastructure that moves communities forward. We're seeking an experienced Transportation Design Group Manager to lead and expand our Florida transportation practice while helping shape the future of mobility across one of the nation's fastest-growing states. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a strategic transportation professional ready to guide an established, high-performing team and drive continued growth across Florida's evolving transportation landscape. Reporting directly to the Florida Division Manager, this role offers meaningful influence at the state, regional, and national leadership levels - including the opportunity to contribute to long-term business strategy and the potential for ownership within Benesch. Location This position can be based in any of our Florida offices, including Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami, with flexibility to collaborate across our statewide footprint. The Opportunity to Lead Florida's Transportation Future As Transportation Design Group Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for a multidisciplinary transportation team delivering impactful infrastructure solutions throughout Florida. You will: Lead, manage, and grow Benesch's Florida transportation design engineering group Drive group performance and contribute directly to the Florida Division's strategic and financial success Expand our transportation design, roadway planning, and traffic engineering presence across Florida Build and strengthen client relationships with FDOT, counties, municipalities, and regional agencies Identify strategic market opportunities and lead major project pursuits Represent Benesch through industry engagement, professional organizations, and regional leadership initiatives Collaborate with transportation leaders across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee to shape Southeast regional growth strategy Mentor and develop a diverse, high-performing team of transportation professionals Oversee delivery excellence across roadways, structural, hydraulics, traffic engineering, PD&E, and planning services Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline Professional Engineer licensure in Florida 15+ years of progressive transportation engineering leadership experience Successful history working with FDOT and local agencies throughout Florida Extensive experience in project development and delivery of roadway engineering, transportation design, traffic engineering, and roadway planning services Proven success developing client relationships and winning new work Strong project management, business development, and financial leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow dynamic multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of contractual requirements and delivery risk management #LI-MF1 Why Benesch It's simple.
