Internship Overview

The Summer Aviation Intern will have the opportunity to work within a Fortune 150 Aviation Services organization. The Aviation Intern will have direct exposure to corporate fixed wing and rotor wing operations, utility rotor wing operations, unmanned aerial operations, aircraft maintenance, aircraft scheduling and general aviation management.

General Responsibilities:

  • Greet passengers and attend to their needs

  • Perform various back office functions for the aviation team

  • Review aviation reports for accuracy

  • Review flight logs and file appropriately

  • Receive catering, parts shipments, etc.

  • Support flight operations

  • Provide assistance with scheduling and dispatch, as needed

  • Assist Chief Pilot, scheduling with flight Planning

  • Provide support in weather review and analysis

  • Provide assistance to flight operations and maintenance as needed

  • Contact hotels and rental car agencies in support of flight crew

  • Perform hangar inspections and assist with minor maintenance and clean up

  • Inventory supplies

  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to learn about various aspects of aviation.

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with different teams and departments to support overall operations.

  • Project Assistance: Provide support on special projects as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of aviation operations.

  • Safety Adherence: Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. These responsibilities offer a comprehensive learning experience across different facets of the aviation industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Graduate

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in an aviation related discipline

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

  • Must not graduate prior to August 2026

Desired Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Ability to multi-task and work across various internal and external customers to achieve goals

  • Strong computer reporting skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Detail oriented

  • Flexible

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • FAA License/Certificate (Dispatch, A&P, Pilot, Remote Pilot)

  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, airspace, weather, and aircraft performance

Working Conditions

  • Onsite - Onsite Mobility Classification - Work will be performed at a company facility. Reliable, consistent transportation is required to ensure timely arrival at the applicable facility.

  • Internship Summer Session Length is 10-12 weeks

  • Valid Driver's License required

  • Must have the ability to pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment
