YOUR MISSION

Strategic Planning Management (45%)

Play an instrumental role in facilitating the strategic planning process for PUMA North America:

  • Support the development of the strategic roadmap, offsites, planning calendar and regional communications
  • Support in the creation and execution of departmental and company-wide presentations and town halls
  • Support in the creation of content as needed for senior level meetings, workshops and 2 annual leadership strategic planning workshops
  • Support the cascading multi-annual Goal Setting (OSAM: objectives-strategies-actions-measure) process that support short/mid/long-term strategies cross-functionally
  • Actively drive special projects as assigned.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team as needed

Strategic Business Development (45%)

Take the strategies supported in the roadmap to drive the execution in new business development by acting as the connective tissue between Sales, Merchandising, and Brand Marketing to ensure unified commercial execution:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across product categories, channels, and consumer segments
  • Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and sales data to inform future growth strategies
  • Support strategic initiatives including expansion into new accounts, geographic regions, product categories or consumer verticals
  • For such strategic initiatives, drive collaboration across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure cohesive deliverables across the seasonal GTM calendars to ensure alignment and storytelling excellence (MRM, PCR, Account Previews, Line Freeze, Sales Meeting, Final Sell-In, In-market activations and Product sell-thru)
  • Support brand and channel marketing teams to align strategic priorities, consumer targets, and campaign needs. Help inform retail marketing plans and activations with account-specific and regional insights.
  • Track readiness and executional health of cross-functional deliverables across the seasonal planning cycle

Performance Analytics (10%)

  • Track business performance reporting and insights to help evaluate sell-in and sell-through trends
  • Develop account-specific and category-specific business plans with actionable recommendations
  • Monitor KPIs and track performance against seasonal goals and strategic targets against financial models
YOUR TALENT
  • 4-6 years of experience in business development, merchandising, category management, or strategy ideally within footwear, apparel, or consumer goods
  • Deep understanding of the North American retail and consumer landscape
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and merchandising
  • Strong analytical mindset; able to derive insights from complex data sets with consumer and market insights at the core
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • PowerPoint and other presentation software expert highly desired
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and seasonal timelines simultaneously
  • Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround
  • Able to maintain a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Thrives in a team environment and proactive collaboration with a strong sense of self and a growth mindset
