| Job Summary: The Transaction Advisory Services Senior Associate will be responsible for managing financial, accounting and operational due diligence engagements for both strategic and financial buyers throughout the USA. Job Duties: 
 
 
 Prepares data book, reconciles company financial statements generates financial tables and analyses for due diligence reportAnalyzes financial forecasts, historical earnings, assets and liabilities of target clientPerforms industry and company researchCollects information from all available sources related to the target client's businessConducts on-site and / or phone interviews with C-level personnel or target client to gather additional information in support of the financial analysisIdentifies and proposes appropriate resolutions to critical issues related to the M&A processManages the relationship and information flow between BDO and the target clientPartners with Transactional Services Senior Manager and Principal/Director to identify and pursue business development opportunities Researches and develops proposal documents and may participate in presentations in pursuit of acquiring new clientsOther duties as required
 
 Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education: 
 
 
 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, requiredMBA, preferred
 
 Experience: 
 
 
 Four (4) or more years of public accounting experience, requiredTwo (2) or more years of prior TAS experience, preferredPrior experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferred
 
 License/Certifications: 
 
 
 CPA, CPA candidate, or CA, preferred 
 
 Software: 
 
 
 Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint - strong modeling skills, requiredPrior exposure utilizing IDEA, preferred 
 
 Language:

 Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing aptitudeAbility to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunitiesCapable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment either independently or within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions to benefit the buyer Required to maintain the highly confidential nature of informationExcellent project management skills with ability to produce quality work project with an attention to detailKnowledgeable of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP and SEC reportingKnowledge of IFRS desirableAbility to travel as needed
 
 
 Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. National Range: $90,000 - $135,000
 
 Maryland Range: $90,000 - $135,000
 
 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $90,000 - $135,000
