Department's Website: The ideal candidate has strong event planning and management experience; is a self-motivated, creative thinker with great interpersonal skills who is comfortable translating complex research into clear, engaging content tailored for various audiences and working in a dynamic environment, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * End-to-end planning, management, and execution of IR-sponsored events, e.g., speaker series lectures, symposia, semi-annual student research showcase, etc. * Planning, coordination, and execution of IR presence at university, community, and industry events, e.g., NWA Tech Summit, Hillfest, job fairs, etc. * Producing or editing content and marketing collateral, including brochures, blog entries, email newsletter content, websites, and news/press releases. * Developing reports and briefings for stakeholders. * Creating and posting engaging social media content on various platforms. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent communication and media relations. * Supporting intra-team communications. * Supporting media relations. * Supporting photography needs. Maximum work hours per fiscal year: 1250 hours The Communications team is responsible for raising the profile of the University of Arkansas as a leading research institution by: * Promoting I3R's collaboration with industry and how the institute stimulates. economic growth regionally in NWA and across Arkansas. * Promoting I3R's current and future state capabilities. * Showcasing I3R's researchers and their leading-edge innovations. * Positioning I3R as the leader in convergence research Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
