Initial Posting Date: 08/25/2025Application Deadline: 09/15/2025Agency: Oregon Youth AuthoritySalary Range: $5,325 - $8,148Position Type: EmployeePosition Title: Operations and Policy Analyst 2 - CJIS AnalystJob Description: OREGON YOUTH AUTHORITYOperations & Policy Analyst 2 - CJIS Analyst Salem, Oregon - Equitable Building The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking an experienced and analytical Operations & Policy Analyst 2 to serve as a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Analyst within our Information Systems Department. In this role, you will support the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Juvenile Justice Information System (JJIS) and other CJIS data systems, ensuring they align with laws, administrative rules, and established business processes. You will collaborate with the Information Services team, policy and research analysts, business analysts, program area managers, and leadership to identify and analyze policy, operational, and system needs. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, training materials, and policy guidance; researching and interpreting state, federal, and case law; evaluating equity impacts; and serving as a subject matter expert on CJIS compliance. This position requires the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable information for diverse internal and external audiences while fostering operational excellence and regulatory compliance across the agency.
