* Base Pay Range: $108,971.20 - $177,590.40 per year, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide leadership and direction in Patient Access Services Department and Financial Counseling, including the Medicaid application processes and management and oversight of Medicaid application outsourced process and performance. Achieve established performance targets by actively engaging multiple disciplines/departments/staff. Manage people, relationships, and processes to maximize results and engage internal and external stakeholders. Promote collaboration, teamwork, and champion service excellence. Develop strategies for long-range access planning/management addressing changes in reimbursement and clinical environments in collaboration with internal and external organizations.

Direct activities, track and identify trends related to securing all financial information and verification of third-party payer information. Direct consents, Medicare's IMM, as required by the third-party payer, prior to admission or services being performed. Direct admission activities with other Hospital and Medical School departments. Direct providing Good Faith Estimates, informing patients of financial obligation, and collecting monies due to the hospital and physicians. Oversee the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care across units. Direct the implementation and oversight of MU Health Care time and attendance policies and practices. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Seven (7) years of healthcare experience.

Three (3) years in healthcare management, finance, or revenue cycle experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
