Position Summary: The Formulation Lab Technician is responsible for the preparation of various solutions used to produce Chembio Diagnostic products. Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Executes the preparation of all buffers, conjugations, test lines, control lines, and other components used in Chembio Diagnostic products. Using lab equipment effectively, skillfully and efficiently. Maintaining equipment and work area as directed. Reports deviations to established processes. Performs daily and weekly instrument calibrations as indicated. Maintains and updates all lab log documentation as described by the QA department, including equipment and calibration logs. Responsible for maintaining neat and accurate batch records as either an operator or a witness during all procedures. Properly disposes of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean working environment and restocks the laboratory area as needed. Conforms to the requirements of cGMP's. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Complies with regulatory standards. Adheres to all OSHA compliance laws and conforms to the requirements of the USDA and FDA. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science field. Familiarity with lab equipment. Attention to detail and proficient record keeping. Excellent communication and time management skills. Lab experience preferred.
