Overview

Lead and oversee efforts to identify, engage, and select direct and indirect talent sources aligned with strategic business needs. Manage daily operations to build proactive talent pipelines that support current and future staffing demands. Foster cross-functional collaboration and maintain strong partnerships with hiring leaders, candidate networks, and peer teams to deliver high-quality talent for NFCU.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and day-to-day guidance to Talent Scouts building talent pipelines in support of business unit staffing needs
  • Cultivate relationships with talent populations via community outreach efforts, event attendance, post-event follow-up, information sessions, coffee chats, and professional affiliations
  • Work proactively with Talent Acquisition Partners (TAP) to formulate creative sourcing strategies for challenging roles; mitigate acquisition disruptions and support Talent Scouts with complex searches as needed
  • Represent Talent Acquisition as a trusted advisor to the business for sourcing talent
  • Stay abreast of competitive landscape for attracting talent; research market data and maintain awareness of emerging technologies, innovative sourcing trends, social media outlets and most effective recruiting channels
  • Research and identify niche sites, publications, or industry associations for sourcing talent
  • Provide market intelligence to guide and inform hiring decisions across business units
  • Manage and coordinate referral processes, including Executive referrals, to ensure timely and appropriate follow-up
  • Partner with Compensation and other business partners to develop strategies to attract talent to niche skill sets and hard-to-fill roles
  • Provide insights and partner with management to create strategic and innovative sourcing plan for overarching Talent Scout Model and business units; assess locations, track talent trends, forecast hiring difficulty
  • Partner with TA leadership, business leaders and HRBPs to create a 12-month talent strategy with quarterly replanning; align the strategy to segments and reflect internal and external labor market insights
  • Influence and motivate stakeholders (e.g., hiring managers, HRBPs, and Talent Acquisition Partners [TAPs]) to achieve continuous improvement of the talent strategy and talent acquisition
  • Responsible for monitoring adherence, reporting, tool/technology implementation and adoption, market trends, predictive insights, best practice application
  • Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and industry laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Perform supervisory/managerial duties
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in conducting searches or sourcing, either full cycle corporate or agency recruitment, to include developing and executing creative and innovative solutions utilizing a variety of tools and technology
  • Significant experience communicating employment value proposition with emerging and passive talent audiences to generate and champion interest
  • Significant experience with advanced networking, candidate generation, and passive/active sourcing methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of systems and tools that support sourcing, application tracking systems, data integrity, and workplace collaboration
  • Significant experience in advanced sourcing methods including but not limited to: email extractions, browser extensions, people aggregators, and X-ray searching
  • Significant experience gathering hiring requirements from recruiters and building and maintaining a skilled pipeline of talent
  • Advanced knowledge of successful pre-screening and assessing candidate qualifications
  • Proven ability to deliver highly sought-after candidates within their field in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Advanced skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
  • Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact
  • Advanced organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work
  • Advanced skill in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Effective skill speaking and/or presenting in front of groups in a professional setting
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Affirmative Action Plan, and other state regulations governing recruiting and talent acquisition practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Human Resources or a related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supervising and leading/guiding employees or operating in a lead role
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking with a focus on evaluating outcomes and identifying optimal solutions
