Purpose of the Role
The Electrical & Instrumentation Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring E&I construction and commissioning activities to support Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. This role ensures that electrical and instrumentation work is executed in alignment with project schedules, technical requirements, health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards, and quality expectations. Acting as a key interface between the field teams, engineering, and project management, the E&I Coordinator helps drive safe, efficient, and sustainable project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate E&I construction activities, ensuring work is sequenced, scheduled, and executed in line with project milestones and priorities.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical queries, clarify design issues, and ensure alignment with drawings and specifications.

  • Track progress of E&I installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities, preparing accurate reports for project leadership.

  • Monitor quality control for E&I work, ensuring installations meet project standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support development of workface planning packages and ensure resources, tools, and materials are available when needed.

  • Ensure strict adherence to Worley's HSE policies and support a culture of safety and environmental responsibility on site.

  • Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities, ensuring performance meets project and contractual requirements.

  • Participate in site walkdowns, inspections, and punch list resolution during construction and commissioning phases.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including as-built drawings, test records, and turnover packages for E&I systems.

  • Facilitate communication between field supervisors, project managers, and other disciplines to address conflicts and drive timely issue resolution.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of E&I processes, tools, and execution strategies to support Worley's ambition to deliver sustainable change.

Qualifications / Skillset

  • Strong experience in electrical and instrumentation coordination, construction, or commissioning within energy, chemicals, or resources projects.

  • Solid understanding of E&I drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and construction documentation.

  • Knowledge of E&I codes, standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to industrial projects.

  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate activities across multiple work fronts, ensuring alignment with overall project schedules.

  • Familiarity with construction workface planning, progress tracking systems, and turnover documentation processes.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interface effectively with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and management.

  • Demonstrated commitment to HSE principles and experience supporting safe work practices.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues early and coordinate solutions that minimize impact to schedule and cost.
