Role Overview
Ping Identity is seeking a forward-thinking, execution-oriented Product Owner to lead the development, standardization, and lifecycle management of offerings within the Professional Services (PS) Portfolio Management function. This newly created role is critical to evolving the PS organization from a delivery-centric arm to a strategic enabler of customer outcomes, responsible for productizing our services portfolio and driving services-led growth. The Product Owner will lead cross-functional efforts across PS, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Product, enabling solution innovation, operational consistency, and improved visibility into the value PS delivers. In this role, you'll work closely with PS leadership to stand up and scale PS Portfolio Management, shape go-to-market (GTM) strategy, and build scalable frameworks for portfolio management and sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities:
PS Product & Portfolio Management
- Own the definition, standardization, and ongoing management of PS service offerings, including packaging, pricing models, and delivery models.
- Lead cross-functional analysis of existing offerings to retire, consolidate, or evolve based on performance and customer needs.
- Drive portfolio rationalization by identifying overlaps, gaps, and opportunities to simplify and clarify the PS services landscape.
- Introduce structured feedback loops across customers, delivery teams, product management, and sales to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain a service catalog that reflects scalable, differentiated, and outcome-oriented solutions.
GTM Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Collaborate with Marketing to build PS presence internally and externally (e.g., digital assets, collateral, customer-facing pages).
- Develop and refine sales enablement tools, including playbooks, customer success stories, and value propositions to support demand generation and deal shaping.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to introduce PS earlier in the sales cycle and align on pipeline generation and influence revenue metrics.
- Establish KPIs to measure offering adoption, sales readiness, and customer success.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a hub for the PS Portfolio Management initiatives, driving alignment across CX, Marketing, Sales, and Product.
- Develop and facilitate operating cadences, joint planning sessions, and governance frameworks that support unified execution.
- Contribute to the refinement of internal processes such as deal structuring, approvals, and project handoffs.
Business Intelligence & Operational Rigor
- Work with Operations and Analytics teams to capture and report on metrics related to offering usage, customer outcomes, and delivery performance.
- Ensure new offerings are launched with enablement, support documentation, and analytics in place.
- Own the creation and maintenance of internal delivery playbooks, sales enablement guides, and operational documentation to ensure scalable, repeatable execution across teams.
- Drive experimentation and innovation within the PS portfolio by creating frameworks for piloting and measuring new solutions.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical product management, consulting, solutions portfolio management, or professional services operations, ideally with exposure to service packaging and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to define, standardize, and evolve service offerings, with a focus on business impact, customer outcomes, and scalability.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, CX, and Operations.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using metrics and customer feedback to drive service improvements and track performance ( influenced revenue, CSAT, adoption).
- Familiarity with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (Kantata), CRM systems (Salesforce), and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Preferred: MBA, PMP, or relevant certifications in product or portfolio management.
- Highly Preferred: Current Ping Identity employee or individual with deep familiarity with Ping's Professional Services organization, offerings, and internal systems.
