Primary Purpose:

Under general supervision, Commercial Appraisal Reviewer II is responsible for managing appraisal reviews within the bank's appraisal platform. This role ensures valuation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective communication between lending staff and third-party appraisers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manage and prioritize appraisal assignments within the bank's appraisal platform.
  • Scope and initiate appraisal engagements in accordance with bank policy.
  • Solicit competitive bids from qualified appraisers.
  • Serve as a liaison between lending staff and appraisers to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of commercial appraisal reports for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Document findings and escalate valuation concerns as needed.


Qualifications:

Required:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal or banking.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with USPAP, FIRREA, and banking valuation standards.


Preferred:



  • Active Certified General Appraiser License.
  • Professional designation (e.g., MAI, AI-GRS).
  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or related field.
