Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Document Writer to support the development of environmental reports and integrated safety analyses (ISA) for submittal to regulatory commissions. This role is critical to ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance of documentation supporting the licensing and operation of nuclear fuel facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, safety analysts, and project managers to draft, revise, and finalize technical documentation including:
    • Environmental Reports (ER).
    • Integrated Safety Analyses (ISA).
    • Safety Basis Documents.
    • Regulatory Submittals.
    • Process Hazard Evaluations (PHA).
  • Emergency Plans and Consequence Analyses.
  • Translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear, structured, and compliant documentation aligned with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) guidance (e.g., NUREG-1748, 10 CFR 70, 10 CFR 51).
  • Ensure documents meet NRC expectations for format, content, and traceability, including:
    Coordinate document reviews, comment resolution, and version control across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with internal configuration management and document control systems.
  • Contribute to the development of templates, Power Point Presentations, style guides, and standardized formats for technical reports and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a master's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental science research.
  • Strong command of technical writing tools (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat) and document control systems.
  • Ability to interpret environmental regulatory guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project coordination abilities.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • Remote.
  • Part-time, Monday - Friday work hours based on project.
