Job Summary:

Medscape, a division of WebMD, is currently seeking an Associate Events Marketing Manager, Audience Engagement, for our New York Live business unit. Medscape develops and hosts physician portals, live events, and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options and communicate with peers. The Associate Events Marketing Manager is an integral member of the Medscape Live Business Unit Audience Engagement team and is primarily responsible for the fulfillment of activity performance and quarterly registration/engagement goals. Specifically, this position will be responsible for orchestrating, optimizing and overseeing marketing strategies to achieve contractual goals for Live medical programs. The Associate Events Marketing Manager will report to the VP, Audience Engagement. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management, data management, analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. He/she must have a proven ability to meet deadlines, while being proactive and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of multi-channel marketing plans to promote live medical educational events for healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate deployment of email, social media, and other marketing tactics to drive audiences to both education and promotional events
  • Assist in meeting registration and attendance goals by monitoring campaign timelines and deliverables.
  • Partner with internal teams to track performance metrics and optimize campaigns based on results.
  • Help analyze user engagement and response trends to improve targeting and content strategies.
  • Prepare summary reports and campaign updates to share with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to support campaign alignment and address performance insights.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in live event or multi-channel marketing; healthcare or pharma industry experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with marketing campaigns, basic strategy, and execution across email, web, and social channels
  • Exposure to web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) preferred
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Basic Excel and PowerPoint skills; able to create reports and presentations

Compensation: $68,000 - $75,000 per year

Education:

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • Knowledge of direct-to-physician or HCP marketing is a bonus
