Overview

As a Research Chemistry/ Biology Co-op in the Waters Global Research organization, you will be part a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers responsible for the early development of next generation technologies used in chromatography and mass spectrometry analytical instrumentation. You will assist in designing and/or evaluating novel stationary phase materials for chromatographic separations, with a focus on biologics.



Responsibilities

    Design and perform experiments using novel column stationary media.
  • Design and perform solubility and precipitation experiments.
  • Design and perform LC-UV, LC-MS, ELISA and Western Blot experiments.
  • Assist in experimental design and execution for novel chromatographic column development.
  • Present findings to a cross-functional group of scientists and engineers in team meetings


Qualifications

  • Working towards a degree in Chemistry, Biology or related discipline
  • Desire to learn and apply scientific/engineering principles in a research environment
  • Basic lab skills
  • Completed coursework in organic chemistry or synthesis highly desired
  • Self-motivated
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ELISA and/or Western Blot is a plus
  • Experience with LC and/or MS is a plus
