Providing for loved ones, planning rewarding retirements, saving enough for whatever lies ahead - our policyholders count on us to be there when it matters most. It's a big ask, but it's one that we have the power to deliver when we work together. We collaborate and innovate - pushing one another to transform not just Pacific Life, but the entire industry for the better. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. Pacific Life is more than a job, it's a career with purpose. It's a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future - including your own.

We're actively seeking a talented Suitability and Advisor Solutions Specialist to join our Advisor Solutions Team in Omaha, NE.

As a Suitability and Advisor Solutions Specialist, you'll move Pacific Life and your career forward by performing suitability reviews of Pacific Life fixed annuity applications, supporting Pacific Life advisory annuity processing, setting up contracting for new annuity producers, and initiating data feeds for Pacific Life's distribution partners. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 6 people in the Consumer Markets division, as part of the Sales Strategy and Enablement group.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Determine the suitability of new fixed annuity applications recommended by direct-to-Pacific Life producers as well as representatives of broker/dealers with whom Pacific Life has an amended selling agreement to perform this function.

  • Perform a semi-annual backend review of the automated suitability approval process by comparing randomly sampled cases to the system to ensure the accuracy and functionality of that process.

  • Generate quarterly and annual internal reports on fixed annuity suitability reviews, including the number of applications received, approved, and declined.

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the fixed annuity suitability review process, as well as assist in updates to the Fixed Annuity Suitability Questionnaire.

  • Provide support, as needed, for Pacific Life's Customer Identification Program.

  • Support the Advisor Solutions team in various functions including:

    • Advisory annuity case processing through the Advisory Solutions Desk

    • Setting up direct-to-Pacific Life contracting profiles in our producer contracting system

    • Establishing data feeds for RIAs and Broker Dealers

The experience you bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in some capacity around annuities, preferably Fixed, FIA, SPIA, and DIA. Experience in annuity compliance or suitability reviews is preferred

  • Some familiarity with back-office annuity processing systems, such as Vantage or FAST, preferred

  • A FINRA Series 6 or 7 license and a state insurance license, or the ability to obtain those within 3 months of hire

  • A high attention to detail approach, the ability to follow multi-step processes, and a proficiency in analyzing and evaluating annuity applications and cases

What makes you stand out:

  • A keen understanding of FINRA and state insurance standards for Suitability and Best Interest of annuities

  • A supervisory designation such as a Series 24 or Series 26

  • Strong communication and writing abilities, as well as a teamwork mindset

You can be who you are.
