General Maintenance Tech

TRISTAR is seeking a dedicated and skilled General Maintenance Technician to support our government customer in Crane, IN. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across various facility systems and structures.
• Replace light bulbs, electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Paint structures and equipment to maintain appearance and protection.
• Repair or replace concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed to ensure facility safety and functionality.

Skills:

• Attention to detail.
• Basic Microsoft Office Skills.
• Knowledge of hazardous material management.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and painting.
• Practical knowledge of repairing and maintaining building systems and fixtures.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.

• Lock Out / Tag Out training.
• Fall protection training.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one.

Education:

• HS Diploma or GED - Prefer 2-3 years of maintenance or carpentry/construction experience.
