Position Title: Heavy Motor Vehicle Operator (HMVO)
Location: Ogden, Utah (On-site)

Position Summary:
The Heavy Motor Vehicle Operator (HMVO) operates different types of Military and civilian vehicles; transports materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: warehouses, plants, freight depots, etc. Must be able to locally drive tractor/trailer and straight truck, over 4 tons, usually 10 wheels
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Required to locally operate in the performance of this contract, such as, but not limited to tractor/trailer (5th wheel), multiple Military trucks, dump trucks, locomotive, front end loaders, lawn mowers, bobcats, forklifts, military unique items and equipment, etc.
- Understanding of local driving laws and regulations.
- Clean driving record, free of convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or for felonies involving motor vehicle use.
- Load or unload truck with or without assistance, make minor mechanical repairs/conduct PMCS.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State Driver's License
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Valid DOT Physical
- 3+ years relevant experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a Background Investigation
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent attention to detail, along with outstanding verbal and written communication.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, or as part of a team.
- Ability to drive multiple and different types of vehicles; driving knowledge of Military vehicles is preferred.
- Able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Factors:
- Light groundskeeping and housekeeping around facilities/work area.
- May involve lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 45 pounds, 50 plus pounds with assistance.
- Work may be both indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Will involve walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, and bending for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity needed for handling tools and equipment
- Must be able to climb in and out of different Military and civilian vehicles, multiple times during the day.
