Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Product Development Manager, the Engineering Detailer Intern is responsible for creating customer drawings in CAD of existing cataloged products. Native drawings will be done in AutoCAD or SolidWorks and converted into PDF, DXF, DWG, and Visio.



Essential Functions:



  • Create CAD drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD as defined by the Marketing Department to include telecom, automotive, alternative energy, and electrical marketing departments.
  • Convert all drawings from the native file format into PDF, DXF, DWG and specific views for Microsoft Visio.



Other Functions:



  • Other Duties as assigned



Qualifications:



  • Enrolled in a mechanical engineering degree program with at least a sophomore status.
  • Preferred experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Visio.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
