Job Summary

Manages Shop Floor Scheduling activities in the Production Area. It includes the management of visual systems to communicate / monitor the sequence of production orders, Create and maintain sequenced production execution which through production change-over optimization will ensure maximum capacity utilization, to achieve master production schedule.

Job Responsibilities

* Schedule production for specified products and production Lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these Lines
* Ensure that Build Plan:
* Is feasible and balanced against resource finite/demonstrated capacity
* Includes all phase-in/out, localization and transfer plans as well as new programs development/prototyping
* Is based on SIOP agreed working calendar and includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.)
* Is in line with Supplier/Subcontractor available supply capacity
* Can be supported with available WIP and FG packaging
* Provide input for Material Requirement Planning / Vendor Scheduling process
* Proactively communicate/escalate to the management team potential MPS issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions in order to mitigate supply failure risk
* Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the plan, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from the plan
* Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the plan if possible or raising the issue with Planning Leader Manage inventory levels of materials used for production by reviewing WIP levels and communicating with Purchasing team lead times of said production materials
* Regularly analyze Inventory target level vs Customer demand in order to optimize/challenge current status and search for improvement opportunities
* Provide communication/feedback to program/business line teams in case of any potential supply issues and also in order to improve Forecast accuracy
* Liaise with PM team to support and coordinate all production planning related new programs launch/prototyping activities
* Monitor WIP Inventory in light of any potential write off to support planning/commercial decision to be made to minimize impact
* Ensure processes relevant KPI's are monitored and PDCA approach applied with A3 in case of deviation to ensure targets are delivered in a sustainable way (e.g.: Schedule Adherence, Customer DSA, Inventory Turns)
* Manage or take active part in SC and Plant performance related continuous improvement projects/activities
* Using production change-over matrix sequence weekly MPS into a day/shift detailed shop floor execution plan covering period between 1 to 2 weeks
* Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates
* Ensure that sequenced plan:
* Is feasible and balanced against resource finite/demonstrated capacity
* Includes all planned downtime (Holiday, routine maintenance, Line closures, etc.)
* Is supportable with available WIP and FG packaging
* Plan, develop, and prioritize schedules for production work centers to maximize performance and minimize production delay
* Worked with PMO to understand production requirements and facilitated execution of those requirements to the production floor. Incorporated and maintained planning tools to assist with production execution including line-of-balance, work center throughput, and work center by work center priority lists to guarantee focus on delivery of critical components
* Work order management including sales order analysis, work order release to production, and coordination of requirements throughout various production work centers

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* 3 years' planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment or Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics or related field
* Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree
* GKN experience
* Aerospace manufacturing experience
* Ability to create pivot tables & perform V-lookups in Microsoft Excel
* ADVANCED EXCEL SKILLSET
* ERP/MRP experience
* SAP Preferred
* APICS Certification
* 5 years' planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment or Bachelor degree in supply chain, logistics or related field
* Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $59,712 - $74,640.
