The Resource Nurse provides leadership, guidance and assistance to staff and patients with high-risk clinical conditions that impact Nursing Sensitive Indicators, while using the evidence-based knowledge and skills needed to optimally and competently care for this cohort of patients. She/he facilitates bridging the gap between research and evidence-based practice, ensuring quality and safe patient care both directly and indirectly.

Unit/Schedule



  • Education/Research/Training Department
  • Full-time 40 hours/week, benefitted
  • 8-hour day shifts 7a- 3:30p


Minimum Education and Experience:



  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the District of Columbia.
  • Bachelors of Nursing required.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a R.N.
  • Nursing leadership role experience preferable
  • Current ACLS/BLS CPR required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate a caring demeanor toward others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively with others.
  • Proficient computer skills related to traditional business management functions including Microsoft Office Programs.


Salary Range: Minimum 46.18/hour - Maximum 71.58/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
