Position Summary |
The Project Manager position is responsible for managing activities for multiple research projects in the Epidemiology Research Team of the Radiology Department, and to support the development of new grant proposals. The main responsibilities include: Preparing, submitting, and managing
IRB applications and modifications; Organizing study related meeting (scheduling, drafting the agenda, taking minutes); Developing and carrying out study timelines and activities; Tracking budgets and subcontracts; Coordinating and maintaining DUAs with participating sites and data vendors; Assisting with
NIH progress reports and grant applications; Supervising Research Assistants; Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders to determine and manage expectations and develop strategies to meet project needs from all perspectives; Contributing to manuscripts and presentations; Representing the research team at meetings and conferences; Coordinating the development and implementation of a grant funded lung cancer screening research project. Responsibilities include project management, overseeing data collection and analysis, supervising research assistants, reporting of results and findings, and budget monitoring and planning. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The position requires a minimum of one year of project management experience and knowledge of applied aspects of observational and clinical study design, with research data management. This position requires the ability to travel to state or national meetings. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with and coordinate activities for grant funded projects. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, PubMed, Endnote, and Qualtrics is preferable. |
