Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of IT to lead our technology operations, ensuring they align with our mission and future growth.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities::

Governance, Planning & Leadership



  • Collaborate with business leadership to align IT operations and security strategies with organizational goals.
  • Lead or participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including backup and recovery processes.


IT Infrastructure & Operations



  • Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud platforms, storage, end-user systems).
  • Manage procurement, deployment, and lifecycle of hardware, software, and related equipment.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems to support business needs.
  • Develop and maintain IT operational policies, standards, best practices and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure system uptime, data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Oversee compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve business performance.


Cybersecurity & Risk Management



  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls aligned with industry best practices.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Oversee management of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection, intrusion detection, identity and access management).
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing in collaboration with external partners where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual security requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO depending on your industry).
  • Provide employee training and awareness programs on IT security best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, cyber threats, and industry trends to proactively recommend improvements.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with the Federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (NIST 800-171, CUI Protection, CMMC)
  • Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.


Drug Screen Statement

Pay Range
$125,000 $175,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
