Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director and Assistant Dean and Director of the Teacher Education Program, the incumbent provides essential administrative and operational support to advance the mission of the Teacher Education Program (TEP) within the School of Education (SOE). Key responsibilities include supervising student assistants and coordinating all TEP-related events, such as orientations, workshops, credentialing sessions, and community partnership meetings. This coordination involves managing room reservations, media support, materials preparation, and on-site logistics. The Program Assistant also oversees day-to-day operations, including purchasing, submitting work orders, maintaining inventory, coordinating travel and entertainment, and processing reimbursements. They are responsible for monitoring and tracking program budgets, reconciling expenses, and ensuring compliance with university fiscal policies and procedures. Additionally, the incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the Teacher Education Program and various campus departments to ensure seamless execution of administrative, financial, and event-related activities. This role requires an understanding of the unique needs of teacher preparation, and performing a full range of administrative duties to support the success of TEP students, staff, and leadership.

The full salary range for the Teacher Education Program Assistant is $29.35 - $42.06 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $29.35 - $35.26 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
