Shift: Part-Time Nights | 24 hrs/week

About Our Department:

Welcome to our fast-paced 35-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit, where every day is an opportunity to make a difference!
We care for patients with STEMI, post-cardiac catheterization, CHF, arrhythmias, stroke management, and more. With a supportive nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, our PCAs play a vital role in delivering compassionate, top-quality care.

We believe in teamwork, clear communication, accountability, and mutual respect - all to provide exceptional care to every patient.

Position Overview:

Work alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help our patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.

What You'll Do:

Patient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities:

  • Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records

  • Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport

  • Provide clerical support as needed

Growth Opportunity - Become a Patient Care Technician (PCT):

  • Perform PCA duties plus:

  • Phlebotomy & blood cultures

  • Enteral feeding, wound care

  • IV and Foley catheter removal

  • Trach care and suctioning

Training & Development:

Our accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands-on, comprehensive training
New hires complete a 175-hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed!)
BLS certification required within one month of hire
Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs

  • No prior experience required - we provide full training!

  • Physical ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks

  • Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
