POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the enrollment management team and directly reporting to the Executive Director of Admissions, the Director of Admissions for PCOM assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing and recruitment plans to meet the enrollment goals of the osteopathic medical college and graduate programs. The Director will provide leadership in Philadelphia by developing initiatives focused on increasing the numbers of academically qualified students for all programs. The Director of Admissions is expected to have the managerial, entrepreneurial and strategic background to provide exceptional leadership in the Admissions environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Chief Admissions Officer, Executive Director of Admissions and greater Admissions Leadership team in meeting enrollment projections.
*
Helps staff to plan projects more effectively, hosting "discovery sessions" with key stakeholders to identify issues and ways to improve. This role will require leadership and problem solving skills which will be used to mitigate challenges, boost morale, and build productivity within teams for better and more efficient execution of tasks and projects.

Ability to be flexible to other duties as assigned. Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. In addition, the ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential; must be comfortable working with different teams at various levels of a business and have excellent organizational skills.

Train, supervise, motivate and evaluate Philadelphia Campus staff as well as oversee the day-to-day management of Admissions staff supporting new enrollments for all degree programs.

Oversees the recruitment, admissions, and retention activities for all degree programs.
*
In collaboration with the Executive Director of Admissions, annually reviews admissions policies and procedures, as well as recruitment plans for all Philadelphia campus degree programs.
*
Develop strategic and innovative approaches for student conversion from inquiry to matriculation for all degree programs.
*
Develops and implements effective recruitment and enrollment strategies including but not limited to: open houses, information sessions, college visits, use of web, social media and telecounseling.

Represents the college and all of its programs at educational fairs, business fairs, and networking events. Meets with health professions and academic advisors and speaks to premedical/pre-health students at undergraduate institutions, as well as regional and national health advisor conferences. Establishes and maintains relationships with academic advisors/contacts at undergraduate/graduate colleges and universities.

Manages, in collaboration with recruitment leads, all aspects of the Philadelphia admissions process within Slate for all current and future programs, including applicant counseling, screening and evaluation of credentials, interviews, and selection of candidates in committee. Leads admissions committees and coordinates decision management.

Works closely with Admissions Leadership in developing and implementing software programs within the Admissions process for all Philadelphia campus degree programs.

Works closely with the Admissions Leadership and Operations teams in developing necessary Admissions workflows for all applications.
*
Coordinates with the Associate Director of Admissions in the expansion of affiliation agreements with undergraduate/graduate institutions and selected post-baccalaureate programs.

Participates in the interview/review processes, as needed, for all PCOM programs in Philadelphia.
*
Works with the Director of Admissions Communications to develop and maintain promotional and recruitment materials.

Collects and maintains statistics and generates reports as needed to demonstrate progress toward enrollment goals. Analyzes data in order to gain a clear overview of the department's status as it relates to the strategic plan and write more relevant and accurate reports. This role will put data into context for various constituencies including upper level leadership and make recommendations based on discoveries to fuel data-driven decisions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
*
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), Master's degree preferred
Experience
*
Minimum of 7 years progressive responsible experience in admissions or higher education and recruiting and marketing.
*
Significant supervisory experience preferred, with at least three years in a managerial role.
*
Adept with technology and competence with student information systems including but not limited to CRMs and ERPs.
*
Must have commitment to working in a team setting.
Starting Salary: 83,000
The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
