We are looking for a content-creating powerhouse to join the Warren CAT Marketing team in the role of Marketing Content Specialist. Warren CAT is one of the largest Caterpillar Dealers in North America, and the Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for working with our team of creative professionals to help conceptualize and craft engaging headlines, written copy, ads, scripts, videos, social media, emails and web content through excellent writing skills, top-tier storytelling and engaging creativity. In this role, you will support and promote our culture, brands, people, products, services and events by producing both internal and external content, concepts and media. The Marketing Content Specialist reports to the Director of Brand, Creative and CX. This position requires a creative and collaborative teammate with excellent written, verbal, digital and multi-media communication skills. You will need creative problem-solving abilities, an aptitude for storytelling and a dedication to excellent customer service to develop memorable content that reaches the target audiences as effectively as possible. Work is performed under general supervision and is occasionally complex.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Conceptualize, plan, coordinate, write, create, edit and proofread professional, creative and engaging communications for internal and external audiences that build and maintain the organization's image, reputation and identity.
  • Effectively create compelling stories, powerful narratives and engaging professional content for advertisements, videos, articles, social media, websites, publications, press releases and marketing materials that represent our brand and values positively and consistently.
  • Collaborate with our internal Marketing team to develop new ideas and creative content that supports strategic initiatives through in-person, print and digital communication channels.
  • Ensure that communications, advertising, media and public relations are aligned with our brand, culture and business strategies.
  • Connect and build relationships with local media, associations, customers and community groups to promote our business externally.
  • Build relationships within our organization to improve internal communication and to drive the alignment, consistency and continuous improvement of our culture.
  • Conceptualize, script, shoot and edit basic video content.
  • Draft and edit written and visual content for executives, managers and employees.
  • Evaluate public opinion and develop improvement strategies.
  • Build strong relationships through excellent communication, teamwork, courtesy and trustworthy behavior.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field and two to five years of experience; or a combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing, editing, storytelling, presentation and grammatical skills
  • Ability to communicate with professionalism, personality, authenticity, clarity and accuracy
  • Excellent copywriting and copy-editing abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing media channels and communication platforms with the ability to identify and develop the most appropriate content for each
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with communication tools and technologies
  • Basic knowledge of creative software, photography, video production and editing
  • Familiarity with the latest artificial intelligence tools and capabilities
  • Ability to creatively and independently solve problems
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
