Your role

As a Field Service Technician, your mission is to faciliate growth of Power Technique North America's aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul of portable products - including air compressors, generators, and dewatering pumps for our customers.


You will



  • troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide high quality repairs on all makes of mechanical and electrical diesel engines.
  • diagnose malfunctioning compressors, pumps, and generators to determine possible cause of failures and perform repairs.
  • support all Atlas Copco and multi-brand products by performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • provide a high level of customer service by demonstrating effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
  • train and assist other service technicians to increase overall workshop engine competencies.
  • promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of PPE at all times.

You have a minimum of 3 years experience performing service on major brand equipment and engines, including electronic engine diagnosis and troubleshooting experience. You have a GED or HS diploma.



  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated with good communication skills.
  • Be able to perform all technical tests and procedures and provide written summary of all tasks executed.
  • Have the ability to work independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, order parts, and repair engines and equipment.
  • Be creative in developing innovative and beneficial methods of completing repairs, even when limited resources are available.
  • Be customer service focused with the ability to maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Factory training on Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, Volvo, Kubota, Kohler, and/or Scania engines is preferred.
  • Provide basic tools for job and maintain your tools and equipment.

Job location

This role requires you to work remotely, reporting into our Baytown, TX service center. You will be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
